Stories, data, and life in rural places

I write and make maps about rural place. The agriculture, the data, the folklore, the economics, and the everyday texture of life in small towns and farming communities.

If any of that sounds like your kind of thing, have a look around.

A Few Words About Me

Growing up in 4-H and surrounded by farm fields, agriculture has been a part of my story for as long as I can remember. Nearly a decade working in GIS deepened my understanding of the intricate connections between land and systems.

Rural places hold more than open landscapes. They’re layers of stories, history, and memory. Here, I explore those connections through maps, writing, and reflections on what it means to belong to a place.
